I’m Owen Diehl and surprisingly, my preference is Bulbasaur. Engineers know me by that avatar.
I analyze algorithms like organizations and organizations like algorithms. This site is half for me (writing is good for the mind – and soul) and half for connecting with you. Please drop me a line.
There’ve been a few twists and turns on the way here. I’ve
- studied economics and philosophy
- written excel algorithms for a trucking insurance underwriter
- built engineering at Nutritionix pre acquisition
- gotten into functional programming and software infrastructure
- worked at Fugue (now part of Snyk) on a sort of haskell-meets-terraform product
- been an early Grafana employee, where I built time series databases, most notably Loki.
I’m currently building moonheron.com, although what it is, I can’t yet tell.
